How we research and source everything
Health and money decisions deserve better than guesswork. Here is exactly where our information comes from, who writes it, and how to tell us when we get it wrong.
Our standards
We start from primary sources Guidance comes from original research and official bodies — Mayo Clinic, CMS, HHS, the IRS, KFF and peer-reviewed journals — not from summarising other blogs.
Every statistic is attributed If we cite a number we name where it came from, so you can verify it rather than take our word for it.
Plain English, no hedging We explain terms rather than assuming them, and say plainly when something is uncertain or varies by state.
We date and update our work Articles carry a published or updated date, and we revise them when laws, thresholds or best practices change.
No clickbait Headlines state what the article contains. We do not withhold the point to force a click.
Our tools collect nothing Every calculator runs in your browser. Nothing you enter is transmitted, stored or sold.
No provider pays to appear here
Doctors, hospitals and clinics cannot buy placement, ratings or favourable coverage. We do not rate providers at all — our role is to give you the information to choose for yourself.

We get things wrong sometimes, and we would rather hear about it. Email [[corrections@getmydr.com]] with the page and what is incorrect.
We review every report. If something is materially wrong we fix it promptly and note the update date. If a correction changes the substance of our advice, we say so on the page rather than quietly editing it.
